Content partner - Knowledgeland
Kennisland | Knowledgeland (KL) is an independent Dutch thinktank based in Amsterdam. We want to make Dutch society smarter. Through this we hope to establish the Netherlands as one of the key regions in the international knowledge economy in a way that creates both economic and social value. Because the knowledge society can only flourish when many can participate in it. Therefore creating public access is an important theme to us. In several KL projects we are stimulating this, whether it is access to public services (Kafkabrigade), access to education, access to/through technology (Digital Pioneers) or access to content (Images for the Future, Creative Commons). In the past we have developed projects to increase access to ICT tools and skills (Digital Playgrounds).

Improving access is creating a better match between the societal commitment and institutional capacity to deliver rights and services and people’s capacity to enjoy those rights and services. We are dedicated to exploring the mechanisms that impede access and to promoting innovations that improve access.
